HISTORY

The Kappa Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated was established in 1931. The Chapter was chartered by Zeta alumni members who saw the need to bring the Sorority's mission and programs to the as yet un-serviced area of City/ County, State. The chapter has been an active member of the Greater Dallas community since its establishment and partners with numerous local agencies to provide community service, philanthropic giving, and outreach services.

Membership in Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated is by invitation only. Zeta Phi Beta chapters observe potential members over a prolonged period of months prior to considering invitations for membership. If you are interested in Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and would like more information regarding our events, please contact our membership coordinator at membership@kappazpb.org.

SIGNATURE PROGRAMS & EVENTS

 

Z-HOPE

Z-HOPE, or Zetas Helping Other People Excel, is an interactive holistic multidimensional outreach program designed to enhance, cultivate and empower participants to develop health-promoting lifestyle choices across the lifespan. Z-HOPE is specific to the population groups; Women, Youth, Seniors, Men, and International Women of Color. Each year the Kappa Zeta Chapter hosts Z-HOPE events in conjunction with local schools, churches, and community organizations. Our goal is to positively impact many underserved populations and bring awareness to social, health, and wellness issues.

 

Scholarships

The Kappa Zeta Chapter awards multiple scholarships to deserving students. Each year applications are forwarded to high schools and churches and our scholarship committee selects the honorees based on their scholastic achievements, community service, and other criteria.
